Rose Shuckburgh

Rose Shuckburgh (b. 1997) is an artist whose practice encompasses painting, printmaking and making. Her work catalogues the spirit and animacy of the natural world. Personal reflection and experience form the basis of her practice, as her work acts as a mirror for her own understanding of nature. She continually returns to themes of cycles and transformation to illustrate the interconnectedness of the natural world. She aligns these themes with a sensitivity towards materials, interested in the relationship between matter and the immaterial. She draws from a range of resources, from ecological, geological and historical research to poetry and mythology.

Rose grew up in The Elan Valley, Wales, and now lives and works in London.
